You will report to Infranord's Sustainability Manager and be part of a team of specialists in the areas of quality, management systems, and sustainability reporting. Geographically, the position is based at the head office in central Sundbyberg, but you will collaborate with colleagues and operations in several locations in both Sweden and Norway. Travel and site visits to Infranord's establishments are part of the job.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As an environmental specialist at Infranord, you will strengthen Infranord's environmental and sustainability efforts by providing the organization with expert knowledge in the environmental field. You will be responsible for analyzing new environmental requirements and ensuring that Infranord's working methods are adapted in line with new legal requirements and sustainability goals.

Examples of tasks and responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage environmental information on the intranet as well as in management systems and internal training.
  • Develop and manage instructions, templates, and support for environmental-related permitting processes, risk analyses, and climate calculations.
  • Proactively monitor, interpret, and communicate new environmental legislation and new environmental requirements from owners and customers.
  • Support the organization in contacts with authorities.
  • Follow up and develop the company's environmental work through internal audits as well as monitoring, analysis, and quality assurance of environmental data.
  • Assist the organization during environmental incidents and environmental-related deviations.
  • Drive environmental improvement projects.
  • Collaborate with projects and production to develop effective working methods that reduce environmental impact and ensure compliance.

QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed and thrive in this role, we are looking for someone who is responsible and proactive with the ability to drive development towards clear results. You are persistent and have the strength to drive change over time. You are communicative and enjoy giving advice and training. You find it easy to collaborate with different roles in the organization and combine a strategic holistic perspective with a practical approach where requirements are translated into target group-adapted information and practically usable routines and working methods.

Furthermore, we are looking for someone who has:

  • A university degree in environmental science, natural science, or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of experience in environmental work within infrastructure/construction, or at least 2 years as an environmental consultant.
  • Knowledge of environmental management systems and ISO 14001, as well as experience with internal audits and deviation management.
  • Experience with climate calculations, environmental reporting, and working closely with production/projects.
  • Knowledge of environmental law/legislation and experience in interpreting and translating legal texts into business-adapted information.
  • Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
